- We started our Friday routine today! Every Friday will consist of a Vocabulary & Spelling Quiz followed by SSR (Sustained Silent Reading) for about 20 minutes. The remaining part of the period will be spent on the current unit
- I read the 20 spelling words from lessons #1-2, then the students took the vocabulary quiz.
- Following the quiz, the students read silently for about 20 minutes. They also filled out the reading log for the number of pages they read.
- We then corrected the spelling & vocabulary quiz as a class.
- We ended the period with the school-wide writing assessment. The students had 45 minutes to plan and write an essay on the prompt given.
- Homework: Continue to research the Russian Revolution; Complete the grammar workbook through page 60 (odd numbers only)
