- I distributed a new course calendar that covers the next two weeks.
- The librarians conducted a library orientation
- The students took a quiz on MLA format, Title punctuation, Forbidden Errors, and Quote punctuation.
- I introduced the author study and poster assignment. The students picked a partner and I assigned each partnership an author to study.
- The ultimate goal is to create an author poster. The poster will include pictures and images on the front of the poster that depict not only the author him or herself, but also images that tell a story about the author (interests, facts, likes/dislikes, etc.). The back of the poster will include more detailed information. See the assignment sheet on my website.
- The students had about 20-30 minutes to work on their research .
